Happy New Year! After nearly a month away from the kitchen (in full force anyways), we will be back in the kitchen baking and decorating cookies this week. I won't lie, the time away was necessary. Working a full time job in addition to running this business is no joke and this fall and holiday season really put me to the test. I was so happy (and relieved) to take that time away as a chance to take a deep breath and reflect on the last year. Recently, I moved to a new apartment and as I was boxing up my cookie cutters I thought, "I wonder how many I actually have." I posted on Facebook and Instagram and asked my followers to enter a guess and whoever was closest without going over would win a free dozen of cookies. Well, I counted and had an impressive 261 cookie cutters! A new friend who follows on both Instagram and Facebook and who is a local photographer, Astrid Thomson, won with a guess of 245.
