Earlier this year my good friend, Karen, asked if I would make cookie wedding favors for her wedding in September. (Of course!) Karen also asked that I brand the packaging in some way to recognize that I had made them. When she first asked, I thought about throwing together a quick label and being done with it, but then I thought on it more and decided I wanted an official logo made.
A friend and former co-worker of mine, Rae Ganci Hammers, works in graphic design and has a wonderful aesthetic, so I contacted her inquiring about the logo. Over the last few months, Rae and I have been working together — talking about designs I like, designs I don’t like, colors, fonts. She has been so patient and just a joy to work with, and today, she sent me the final logo. It’s magical! I love it. I love the crown. I love the wavy border. I love every detail that she inserted. I hope others like it too. I’ve incorporated the logo in the website and am still working on perfecting the site, but I think it’s coming along nicely!
In other news, next week, I’ll be attending an info session about renting commercial kitchen space in Madison. Plans are in the works!
